When I say doodle, what comes to mind? You might answer with spontaneous drawings, repetitive shapes like hearts, spirals and stars, and mindless drawings and designs we do when we are bored. Sounds about right. Doodling is an important part of the creative experience.
It is a classic scenario to hear a non art teacher commenting about a student doodling in their notebook. Most kids will comment that doodling helps them stay focused. Creative Jam Art Co., has developed a sweet program called Creative Jam Art Club. It aligns with our mission here at the studio where we have no rules about art making. We will guide and give prompts, and of course, we will have plenty of pens and paint pens on hand.

The thing is, doodling is very mindful, not mindless. It relieves stress and anxiety. I feel calm and lose track of time, which makes me feel good. We want the same experience for the people who participate in our Creative Jam Art Club.

While in 7th-8th grade, she was a member of the Art Club, started by art teacher, Mr. Joe Johnson. Thanks to you, Mr. Johnson, I am here with Irmie and Brendaliz creating new art roots.
