Our journey started with a shared dream of owning our own art studio, a place where we could invite others to freely express their creativity. With determination, hard work, and a lot of coffee, we are turning that dream into a reality.

We are a Latina-owned art studio located in Bristol, CT. We believe that art is not just about the final product, but also about the experience of creating it. That's why we are creating a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can feel comfortable and inspired. Our studio is not just a place to create art, it's a community where friends and family can connect, collaborate, and make memories together.

What can we look forward to?

Brenda

Brenda's profile picture

Brenda, an NYC native, is a creative visionary who believes in the power of artistic expression to bring people together and nurture the soul. With her strong faith in a Creator who imbued us all with creative energy, she has always been drawn to imagining and designing spaces that are warm, inviting, and conducive to artistic exploration. Whether it's staging a family event or conceptualizing a theme, Brenda is a master at bringing together disparate ideas to create a cohesive, welcoming environment that reflects the values and vision of the organization or community.

 

Brenda's passion for art and design is matched only by her desire to give back to underprivileged communities and inspire the next generation. As a mother of two daughters, she knows firsthand the transformative power of creative expression, and she has long dreamed of owning a business that can offer that gift to others. With her vision and determination, she is now turning that dream into a reality, inspiring her daughters and all those around her to reach for the sky and never stop exploring their creative potential.

Marlo

Marlo's profile picture

Meet Marlo, an artist, photographer, teacher, and small business owner, who believes that making art can bring happiness to people's lives. Marlo was born and raised in Bristol, CT. Her artistic journey began in 1980, creating collages with her mom, winning window painting contests in middle school, and later becoming an art major with a master’s in Photography from the Hartford Art School. Over the years, Marlo has gained extensive experience in all art media, and presented her work at many art shows and galleries including large-scale community projects.

 

Marlo, a mom to two boys in high school, is also an experienced teacher, having taught art at all grade levels including college over the past 25 years. She knows how to see things from different perspectives, is inclusive in her practice, and is able to envision the beginning, middle, and end of a project. As a small business owner with her husband since 2006, With a deep passion for the arts and community and her dedication to teaching and sharing her knowledge with others, Marlo's goal is to bring happiness to people's lives through art.

Irmie

Irmie's profile picture

Irmie is a Brooklyn, NY native with a passion for the arts whose journey began when she participated in the Cooper Union Saturday Program in Manhattan during her high school years. This experience led her to pursue a degree in Studio Art & Business at the City University of New York, where she honed her skills in drawing, sculpture, and ceramics, along with small business management courses. Irmie has over 20 years of professional experience in IT and a strong background in web design and development.

 

Over the years, Irmie has contributed to building community through her involvement in various local organizations and initiatives. Although she now lives in Burlington, CT, having first lived in Bristol for 2 years with her husband and two kids, she still feels a strong connection to the town. With a strong drive to succeed in her dream of owning an art business, Irmie continues to make a positive impact on those around her, both personally and professionally.
